Matsugoda is a character brand created from the artist’s inspiration drawn from everyday life with cats, characterized by soft colors based on a modern Japanese illustration style and a warm, paper-textured art style. The brand builds its world through cheerful and relatable episodes about the daily life of the cat owner “Matsu” and the dependable friend “Iro,” together with the three cat brothers “Bongu,” “Chiko,” and “Godang,” each with a different personality.
The brand continues to pursue active brand collaborations and offline commercialization spanning China, Japan, and Korea, including collaborations with Greater China brands such as NEW BALANCE, PENTEL, and Monday Sleeping Club; partnerships with major Korean companies such as Kakao, Naver, and Shinhan Financial Group; pop-ups at K11 Art Mall, Hysan Place, and Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong; and participation in the Big Issue calendar project in Taiwan.
