Former Hasbro executive to spearhead next phase of strategic growth across APAC and MENA regions.

WildBrain CPLG has announced the appointment of seasoned licensing executive Marie Kopp as Vice President, Asia-Pacific (APAC). With deep expertise in consumer products and regional market strategy, Kopp will spearhead WildBrain CPLG’s next phase of growth across the APAC and MENA regions (excluding Greater China), driving new commercial opportunities, strengthening market presence and leading the growing team.
Kopp joins WildBrain CPLG effective following her most recent role overseeing Hasbro’s Consumer Products division across APAC (excluding Greater China) and MENA, delivering significant regional growth and brand expansion. Prior to Hasbro, her career spanned senior roles at Warner Bros. Discovery, The Smiley Company and The Walt Disney Company, where she built her expertise across diverse markets and categories. Kopp will be based in Singapore and report to Maarten Weck, WildBrain’s EVP, Global Partnerships & Licensing.
As General Manager WildBrain, Greater China, Benjamin Bao will continue to steer WildBrain CPLG’s growth in that country—advancing commercial performance and cultivating new business pipelines, reporting to Maarten Weck. Ben Peace, SVP APAC, MENA & India, will be leaving the business at the end of February as he relocates to the U.K. and embarks on new opportunities. Peace’s leadership has been valuable in driving the success of WildBrain CPLG’s APAC expansion.
Maarten Weck, EVP, Global Partnerships & Licensing, WildBrain, said:
“Marie brings a rare blend of strategic insight, regional expertise and hands‑on commercial leadership across complex, fast‑growing territories. Her track record in scaling brand presence, forging strong partner ecosystems and unlocking new opportunities makes her an exceptional addition to our leadership team. I’m confident she will help accelerate our growth ambitions across the Asia‑Pacific region and further strengthen WildBrain CPLG’s footprint in these dynamic markets.
“I also want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Ben for the dedication, leadership and care he has brought to our business. His vision and commitment were instrumental in the expansion of our presence across Asia‑Pacific, laying the foundation for the next phase of our growth. We wish him every success in his next chapter.”
In APAC, WildBrain CPLG represents a diverse and market‑leading portfolio, encompassing WildBrain’s beloved franchises—Strawberry Shortcake, Teletubbies and In the Night Garden—alongside globally renowned partner brands including Peanuts, PLAYMOBIL, Dr. Seuss, SEGA, Spin Master and many others.
