The Biology Museum, officially the State Biology Museum named after K.A. Timiryazev, is one of the oldest biology museums in Russia. It is named after the outstanding Russian plant physiologist Kliment Timiryazev. Founded in 1922, the museum's rich collections showcase the diversity of life on Earth, depths of morphology and physiology, evolutionary processes, and the place of humans in nature. The museum's exhibitions include not only traditional biological exhibits but pieces of art and extensively use modern interactive technologies, making it one of the most popular educational venues for families and children in Moscow. The museum also actively organizes scientific lectures, masterclasses, and field trips.
