Vinyl Cat and Mermer Toys is a series of cat illustrations and toys created by Chinese artist Cao Xi. The core IP characters include Sleepy, Mermer, Akimbo, and Wiwi —all inspired by Cao Xi's own cat, Nikky.
The IP's universe originates from her comic All Cats' Noses Are Lilies, a whimsical tale in which cats, born without noses, breathe through lilies instead. Cao Xi's work is characterized by an innocent, quirky, and healing aesthetic: soft palettes, boundless imagination, and a fairytale quality that feels both childlike and deeply comforting.
