“We didn’t start this to become famous,
but to keep from disappearing.”
A place doesn’t live on through people,
but through memories.
An old alley where footsteps have long faded.
Between shops going dark one by one due to
big franchises and economic downturn,
four cats gather in an abandoned little cafe.
“Let’s protect this place.”
They have only one goal:
“To make this a place people come to—a landmark of this alley.”
Because only when someone visits do stories remain,
and only with stories can this place avoid disappearing.
Cats who once lived scattered lives on the streets—
clumsy but sincere, they begin running the cafe.
