Dashu is a grey rat living in a bustling metropolis. He pulls endless overtime every day, wishing to build a better life for himself and his best friend, who is also his pet dog Wangcai.
Introverted by temperament, Dashu always keeps an outstanding mental state. He can amuse himself even when death looms close.
Meiji the Hamster is a rich second-generation intern newly hired at Dashu’s company. Lively and outgoing, Meiji is a newcomer to the workforce and works hard to figure out her career goals with the guidance of senior Dashu. They work and hang out together. Though they lead entirely different lives and each carry their own worries, they can always gain inner strength from their friendship.
