The LEGO Group and electronic musicians Daft Punk have announced a partnership that will bring the duo's robot personas into LEGO products, content and brand experiences.

The companies unveiled a film showing the duo's minifigures following a holographic red brick through a dark landscape before arriving at a LEGO brick-built console. The film is soundtracked by "Voyager," from Daft Punk's 2001 album "Discovery" and "Human After All," the title track from the group's 2005 album of the same name.

"What makes this partnership so special is the enduring appeal both brands share," says Julia Goldin, chief product and marketing officer, the LEGO Group. "Like the LEGO brand, Daft Punk inspires generations through creativity, innovation and a deep connection with fans. We're excited to build on these foundations to reimagine the Daft Punk legacy in a fresh and unexpected way, creating something unique that resonates with fans across all ages. This is just the beginning of a bigger journey – a creative collab made for fans ready to lose themselves to play."

On Oct. 21, fans listening to "Daft Punk - WDPK 83.7" heard a 30-second teaser featuring a 2x4 red LEGO brick shown from behind, with its three internal tubes resembling speaker woofers. The teaser contained no explanation but included additional clues referencing the partnership.

The first product tied to the partnership originated from the LEGO Ideas community, where a submission from a father and son in Luxembourg won the Grand Prize in the LEGO Ideas Music to Our Ears challenge in 2020 and later reached 10,000 supporters on the LEGO Ideas platform. The design, based on the pyramid stage from Daft Punk's 2007 "Alive" tour, will now move into development to become an official LEGO set.

Beyond the product, the partnership will include events and content spanning music, culture and creative spaces.

"The pyramid stage is one of the most recognizable expressions of Daft Punk's visual world, so it feels fitting that this fan-created design will be center stage of this partnership," says Cédric Hervet, creative director, Daft Punk. "Fans have always played an important part in Daft Punk's story, and we are excited to see that creativity reflected through the LEGO universe."

Additional details on the partnership are expected in 2027.
