King Features, a unit of Hearst, in collaboration with global fashion house Coach, have debuted a new collection inspired by the iconic forearm-flexing sailor, Popeye. Now at retail, the fashion line is the latest collaboration as the brand honors the character’s 95th birthday this year, while expanding on his presence with consumers through numerous lifestyle offerings.

The line introduces a variety of soft cotton t-shirts, cozy wool and cashmere sweaters, relaxed-fit cardigans and a glove tanned leather Rogue Bag, featuring early black and white illustrations of the spinach-loving Sailor Man posing across each item. Playfully celebrating his free spirit, as well as rebels and dreamers everywhere, each piece puts a spotlight on Popeye’s enduring legacy through classic style.
“The new Popeye X Coach collaboration merges timeless pop culture with the sophistication and craftsmanship that Coach is known for,” says Carla Silva, senior vice president, general manager, head of global licensing, King Features. “It's an incredible blend of nostalgia and modern elegance, creating something truly special for both fans of Popeye and fashion enthusiasts alike. We look forward to providing another way for fans to showcase their love for the cartoon icon.”
