Cloudco Entertainment has announced a series of new licensing partnerships and retail expansions for Care Bears as the brand approaches its 45th anniversary in 2027. The announcement comes amid increased cultural visibility and growing consumer awareness across multiple markets.

"What makes this moment so exciting is that Care Bears is winning on two fronts simultaneously, in pop culture and in licensing," says Robert Prinzo, head, global licensing, Cloudco Entertainment. "The cultural pull is what attracts the quality of partners we're announcing today. After nearly 45 years, this kind of energy is extraordinary and shows us that the best is still ahead."
The brand has expanded its presence through appearances on "The Masked Singer," celebrity birthday parties, a collaboration with K-Pop group ILLIT and a live experience with Drayton Manor family theme park.
Care Bears Retail and Licensing Expansion
Care Bears collections are now available at UNIQLO and Benetton, joining existing partners Zara and Pop Mart.
New licensing partners span multiple categories. Scentsy brings the brand into home fragrance, while Londontown and Burst Oral Care extend into beauty products. Casetify covers tech accessories. Apparel partners include Legend Brands/Gina Group, Rufflebutts and Whatever! Makes You Happy across women's, children's and lifestyle fashion. Blue Sky Studios adds stationery and everyday essentials. Sunnydays and Gemmy cover seasonal and gifting occasions, and Relatable brings games.
The brand has expanded into location-based entertainment with the first U.S. play area at Barton Creek Square Mall in Austin with Simon Malls, along with live shows, touring productions, cafes and hospitality experiences.
Publishing partnerships with HarperCollins Publishers, Scholastic, Running Press and Penguin Random House U.K. include children's books, collector editions and gifting formats.
The toys and plush business continue with partners Basic Fun!, Simba, Ruz and Headstart, featuring new character introductions and collaborations with “Wicked,” “Harry Potter” and “Stranger Things.” Zuru's Fuggler collaboration extends the brand's presence in the collectibles space.
Cloudco Entertainment will showcase Care Bears, Madballs and Holly Hobbie at Licensing Expo at Booth C170.
