Finsbury Food Group has announced the launch of a unique "Wicked" Celebration Cake inspired by Universal Pictures’ "Wicked: For Good," which hits cinemas on Nov. 21.

The half-and-half design celebrates the two characters at the heart of "Wicked: For Good," with half the cake iced in green for Elphaba and half in pink for Glinda. Finsbury are defying flavor profiles and illustrating their innovative approach to baking with one side a light and fluffy vanilla sponge and the other a rich and indulgent chocolate cake.
"This is the first time we’ve partnered with Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) on a 'Wicked'-themed cake and we’re excited to bring this epic tale to life in bakery form," says Andrew Scott, brand manager, Finsbury Food Group. "It’s a cake designed to resonate with a wide fanbase, from those discovering the world of 'Wicked' for the first time through the films, to long-time fans of the Broadway show.
"We’ve created something truly magical and memorable that feels right at home at any celebration. It’s rare to find a cake that is quite literally two different flavor profiles split right down the middle, but it felt like the perfect way to pay homage to the central themes of 'Wicked: For Good' and its two leading cast members. We certainly had some fun conjuring up this cake in collaboration with Universal."
